
I started researching raw milk after being introduced to kefir milk. My Mom had started to make her own kefir milk at home for the benefits of the probiotics and as she was learning about that- she stumbled upon the benefits of using raw milk to make your own kefir milk.
This sent me down a journey of reading and researching raw milk consumption and what I learned truly inspired me to search out a raw milk supplier in my area. We found a local farm that was about 45 minutes from where we live and started visiting weekly to pick up fresh raw milk and cream! Recently, I have switched over to a more local farm just for easier access and pickup!
I have loved having raw milk and fresh cream on hand here at our home- and while it has taken a little bit to adjust to the taste for my children- I have learned I can sneak it in here and there in foods that they regularly consume so that they can also reap the benefits of raw milk.
I am still on a journey of discovering what is nutritionally best for my family- and we still buy store bought items and eat things that aren’t great for us. BUT- switching small things over time can have an impact on our health- so this is a marathon not a sprint. The goal is too slowly make better choices over time that will eventually make differences in each of our lives.

These ingredients aren’t natural- and as my Dad always says, “look to nature for the answers” and I truly believe that. These ingredients can negatively impact our health.

I believe that if you can find a local raw milk supplies- you should reach out! Oftentimes they will give you a free gallon to try out before you make the commitment of joining a herd-share. Herd-share is what we do for our raw milk. It essentially means that you own a portion of the herd and in return you are getting milk and other diary products as a result.
